In its black version, Émile retains everything that makes Mercier’s signature cycling shorts. Two years of design were required: choosing the best materials, testing, correcting, improving. With patience, and a certain stubbornness.
The 44 mm-wide Mercier-colored leg grippers with silicone inserts keep the bib shorts in place, even during intense rides. The inside of the leg is constructed from a single piece, and all seams are flatlocked to minimize friction.
At the lower back, a mesh panel ensures ventilation and moisture wicking. The highly ventilated back is designed to work with the Peloton baselayer and the Saint-Étienne jersey: the base layer transfers moisture to the jersey, and then to the outside.
