Beyond its technical features, its colors and logo printed on the chest pay homage to the brand's past. The purple is that of the jerseys worn by the Mercier professional team, which competed in the Tour de France from 1935 to 1984. The pink, as you might guess, is the iconic color of Mercier bikes.
