This light, high performance, ultra compact gilet will protect you from the cold during descents and cold periods.

The Mercier Chess Gilet is a thin outer layer to be worn throughout the year. Whether it be for a crisp early morning departure, a descent or facing some nasty weather conditions, Chess is the ideal companion. Lightweight and compact, it can be folded and stored in a jersey pocket.

The front of the gilet is made from a wind-protective and water-repellent membrane, made in France, which protects your torso and shoulders from the cold. The back ensures perfect aeration, thanks to its reinforced mesh fabric. The Vislon® zipper makes it easy to open, in order to help regulate ventilation or easily access your pockets.

The cult is slim fit. The waist and sleeves are elasticated to reduce the wind flow and ensure it remains in place. The Mercier logos are reflective to help you remain visible when it gets dark. You’re sure to stay ahead with Chess!

How to measure accurately?

1. The chest

Hold a measuring tape horizontally and keep it straight whilst wrapping it once round the widest part of your chest.

2. The waist

Keep the measuring tape horizontal and wrap it around the smallest part of your waist.

3. Hips

Put your feet together and keep the measuring tape straight, wrap it around the widest part of your hips.

4. Arms

Straighten your arms and measure between the start of your arms and your wrist.
